My Stationery Roots

For anyone that has read my blog in the past knows that I used own a greeting card company in the 90's. I since have become a freelance illustrator who on occasion designs for other greeting card and stationery companies. I have always loved , loved , loved stationery and love getting cards and note cards in the mail. Something I have never done is had my own note cards personalized. I don't know why, I just have never taken the time. Which is odd because they are great to have on hand whether you are sending in a note to your child's teacher or enclosing a note in a business correspondence. I got the idea to design and personalize some note cards for my family and friends...this on the wake of my bookplate printing! Can you just imagine how much I not NOT gotten done around the house lately! I showed to a bunch for people the note cards and bookplates and promptly sold out of them! That was fun. So I am printing more. I showed some of the flat notes to some other friends and am getting to do some personalizing for their friends. Now this is about as far as I go on the crafty scale. I am a 2-D girl except for my knitting. I truly enjoy this and doing it on this scale enables me to change my designs often! When I was manufacturing on a large scale I was printing 10-20 thousand of each design! I would get so tired of them! But these images above are just some of the designs I created with my art. I think I will make a small holiday offering to anyone who reads my blog if you might want a design personalized with your mom's (or teachers!) or girlfriends name. Oops! or your own name, might as well throw a little cute in your own stocking too, right?! I also created some masculine designs for some of the men in my husbands office. I will post those later today. If you would like any flat note cards I can personalize them or write Thank You on them or whatever you might like, or even have them delivered to you blank, with just the design. This is a fun holiday gift idea!
I have become a bit obsessed (which I am known for-yikes!) They are 8 flat 3.5 x 4.5 notes to a pack for $6. They come wrapped in clear cellophane with a cute sticker and brightly colored envelopes. FUN! Just email me with info and I will get right to it! If you want a personalized bookplates they are $8 for 6 bookplates, they are self stick.
