The Lovely Miss Potter

I just rented The Beatrix Potter Movie- if you are a children's books lover a Peter Rabbit, an art lover you should rent it. It was really cute, actually it was pretty. The scenery was really great, most likely filmed right at Hill Top Farm although I am not sure. How incredible to write and illustrate children's book over one hundred years ago and have it still be the best selling children's book of all time. How delightful too to earn royalties that make you a wealthy woman.
If you can believe this, when I purchased my 1929 cottage house a couple years ago, the previous owner had 3 little girls and had put up Toile wall paper in the bathroom of Beatrix's ink drawings of Peter and friends. I remember the realtor apologizing for the "wallpaper in the bathroom." ( I guess some men who had viewed the house had not liked it-silly them). I took one look at it and saw it as a sign that this was the house for me!
